NLA Kicks Off 3-Day Management Retreat

MONROVIA: The National Lottery Authority (NLA), has commenced a three-day Management Retreat.

The retreat aims at strengthening institutional coordination, improving organizational performance, and ensuring greater alignment between the Authority’s strategic objectives and the responsibilities of its various divisions, departments, and units.

It brings together the management team and relevant heads of divisions, departments, and units.

It also focuses on reviewing and strengthening the operational framework of the Authority to enhance efficiency, accountability, and effective service delivery.

Key areas of focus during the retreat include a comprehensive review of the Terms of Reference (ToRs) of all divisions, departments, and units; an assessment of existing work plans; and the alignment of work plans with the respective ToRs and broader institutional priorities.

The retreat will also provide an opportunity for management to review the delegation of duties and responsibilities, clarify roles and reporting lines, and address areas of overlap or gaps in the execution of responsibilities. This process is expected to promote greater clarity, ownership, teamwork, and accountability across the Authority.

Speaking on the importance of the retreat, the Director General Hon. Peter L. Solo of the National Lottery Authority emphasized that effective institutional performance requires clearly defined responsibilities, coordinated planning, and a shared understanding of organizational priorities.

The three-day engagement is therefore intended to create a stronger foundation for the implementation of the NLA’s programs and activities while ensuring that each division, department, and unit is working in harmony toward the Authority’s overall mandate and strategic goals.

At the conclusion of the retreat, management is expected to have a clearer and more coordinated framework for the execution of duties, improved alignment between responsibilities and work plans, and strengthened mechanisms for monitoring performance and achieving institutional objectives.

The National Lottery Authority remains committed to strengthening its internal systems and processes and fostering a culture of professionalism, accountability, collaboration, and results-oriented management in the discharge of its mandate.
