MONROVIA: The government of Liberia through the National Public Health Institute of Liberia (NPHIL) has announced that hosting of a scientific conference schedule for October 14-16, 2026.
Addressing Ministry of Information Regular Press briefing, NPHIL Director for Technical Services Dr. Julius Gilayeneh called on students, researchers and public health professionals to for their full participate in its upcoming scientific conference
Dr. Gilayeneh, further highlighted the importance of the scientific research conference and partnerships in informing policy and decision-making process of the Country.
The NPHIL Technical Director revealed that the conference will provide a platform for researchers and other stakeholders from Liberia, West Africa and across Africa to present research findings, share knowledge and strengthen scientific collaboration.
He disclosed that the event will be the fifth scientific conference organized under the initiative, following previous conferences that he described as successful.
According to Dr. Gilayeneh, the organizing team is expecting participation from a range of speakers and researchers, while efforts are also underway to strengthen partnerships surrounding research activities.
He encouraged students and researchers with an interest in scientific research to become involved in the conference and submit abstracts for consideration.
The NPHIL official said greater participation in scientific forums is important to strengthening the use of evidence and research in addressing public health challenges and informing decisions.
He urged stakeholders to help circulate information about the conference to universities, research institutions and other interested groups.
