Harvest Church Honors Judge Willie -Judicial Excellence Earns Recognition

MONROVIA: Harvest Intercontinental Church in Monrovia has honored Criminal Court ‘A’ Resident Circuit Judge, Roosevelt Z. Willie for his dedicated service to God, the judiciary and humanity, celebrating his leadership and international recognition.
The honor was conferred Sunday during the church’s regular worship service, where Judge Willie was celebrated as a divine blessing to the congregation and Liberia.
The ceremony also recognized former Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of Liberia, Her Honor, Sie-A-Nyene G. Yuoh, for her distinguished service to the nation’s judicial system.
The recognition of the two prominent judicial figures underscored the church’s appreciation for individuals whose professional responsibilities and personal convictions have contributed to the service of God and society.
A church leader, explaining the decision to honor Judge Willie, pointed to the international recognition he recently received in the United States, stressing that the church should also celebrate the blessings and achievements of its own members.
The leader observed that while people abroad were recognizing the judge’s contributions, the church had a responsibility to acknowledge his service and impact before the opportunity passed.
Judge Willie recently received the prestigious America’s 250 International Judicial Excellence Award in Cherry Hill, New Jersey, on September 12, 2026, during activities marking the 250th anniversary of the United States.
Presented by the International Stop the Violence Alliance, Inc. (ISTVA), the award recognized his commitment to justice, peace, integrity in leadership, family values and efforts to strengthen trust between law enforcement institutions and the communities they serve.
The international recognition has brought renewed attention to the judge’s professional service and his involvement in the Christian community.
During the church ceremony, the speaker further emphasized the personal sacrifices often made by individuals who devote themselves to serving both the church and the wider society, noting that such responsibilities can extend to their families.
Judge Willie, who serves as a member of Harvest Intercontinental Church’s Board of Trustees, was commended for his humility and leadership in both his judicial role and church service.
In an expression of gratitude, Judge Willie credited God for his life and thanked the church for the recognition, emphasizing that his actions and service should speak louder than words.
“I thank God very much for my life,” he said, reflecting on his journey and the acknowledgment of his work.
He added that although he does not consider preaching his strongest ability, he believes that his conduct and dedication can communicate his values.
“I always said that I'm able to preach. I cannot preach, but let the work I do speak for me,” Willie said.
He further expressed appreciation that people had observed his work and deemed it worthy of recognition.
“Somebody is watching me,” he remarked, thanking God for the opportunity to serve and for the recognition of his contributions.
His remarks reinforced the message that service, humility and consistent conduct can become a powerful testimony of faith beyond the pulpit.
The ceremony brought together congregants, church leaders and well-wishers to celebrate the contributions of Judge Willie and former Chief Justice Yuoh.
For Harvest Intercontinental Church, the occasion served not only as a tribute to two distinguished members of Liberia’s judicial community, but also as a reminder of the importance of recognizing service, integrity and leadership within the congregation and beyond.
Meanwhile, the celebration placed Judge Willie’s professional achievements alongside his commitment to the church, highlighting the intersection of faith, public service and the pursuit of justice.
