Speaking Wednesday during a breakfast meeting with staff at the John F. Kennedy Medical Center, President Boakai praised doctors, nurses, and other healthcare professionals for their unwavering service to the Liberian people despite salary disparities and low incomes.
The President acknowledged the sacrifices made by healthcare workers, describing their commitment as the backbone of Liberia's healthcare system.
Reflecting on the hospital's history, President Boakai noted that under the administration of former President William V. S. Tubman, the John F. Kennedy Medical Center earned recognition as one of West Africa's foremost referral hospitals, attracting patients from neighboring countries seeking specialized medical care.
He urged staff to remain united and committed to improving healthcare delivery, emphasizing that Liberians depend on the institution to provide quality, life-saving medical services.
